Advanced Search

Hey. Can you help me?

I used FIND("${searchInput}",CONCATENATE(parish,distrito)), but the return is ZERO when I used a full text (example: teste). When I use only a letter in the value test, I can see the records. Thank you !!

As told me on YouTube, I changed FIND for SEARCH. But it doesn't work.

Thank you.

Hey,
I just duplicated your Airtable and followed what I told you earlier. It worked perfectly for me (see screenshot below) so my only guess would be that you didn't think about case sensitivity. You can use LOWER() to ignore capital letters like this

filterByFormula=search(lower("${searchInput}"), concatenate(parish,distrito))

And then make the data you search through lower case as well. Get more info here: https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/203255215-Formula-Field-Reference

Hey . I tested it, but it didn't work. I created a new table in Airtable. I duplicated the list and then added the paraments but the return remains zero. (As you can see in the video.)

Could you check if I did something wrong?
This is driving me crazy 🤯😅

*I have the Olé Bravo plan.

Let me try to rephrase my initial answer so it becomes clearer:
When you enter "abela" the database is searched for the keyword "abela" as-is. You don't have a record that matches with "abela" in your DB so it returns no value (nothing found). You do have "Abela" (notice the capital "A") so if you enter "Abela" into your searchInput variable you will receive that record for "Abela" (feel free to try this out).
In short: Airtable looks for an exact match and you don't have one in your DB.

Good news!

I tried this formula and work perfectly. 🥳

search(("${searchInput}"), concatenate(Name,Attachments))
