Authorization issues

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

So it seems we have a couple of issues with authorization.

  1.  When people sign up, we OFTEN see users successfully signup but are then not not signed in afterwards. Since they dont get singed in they keep trying to sign up thinking something is wrong.

However when we check in the database we see that they have been signed up just fine.

Its not happening for all users but perhaps 20% of the users.

  2. People get logged out, seems that the session is not sustained for very long, is there any way to set this up so the session duration is longer.  Ideally it would be great to be able to add a checkmark where people can accept that we are keeping them logged in.

what are using to authenticate with Firebase? Xano? etc?

Hi Toby,

We are using Xano, for now i have changed the duration of the session a bit, and then trying to figure out if i can somehow make a function that issues a token refresh.

We get a bunch of complaints from users saying its annoying having to login all the time.

In terms of the issue with users not being logged in straight after signing up i was told by support that this feature is not something you actually support and the best solution right now is to redirect the user to the login page after signing up rather then the home page.

I hope you guys find a solution to this soon, as its pretty bad UX making the user have to log in after we already just got their info. :)
