Back-end architecture for multiple-choice quiz in Bravo Studio/Airtable/Integromat

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

I have a database of possible answers in Airtable. I want to create a quiz having 4 possible answers of which 1 is correct. For each question, the quiz will select 4 choices at random from the list. I've watched the Conditional Logic in Integromat video, but no success yet. Any advice on getting started?

still stuck on this in two parts:

  1. For a hard-coded set of questions in Airtable (1 table with 4 choices, 1 in each row), I am currently trying with Conditional Visibility to show a "correct" or "incorrect" screen based on the user's answer.

  • User needs to be able to select one of the four options in Bravo (i.e. remote action), and use a Conditional Action to determine if the answer is correct. I'm not sure how to set this up. Conditional Action types are only showing the Bravo ID types, not what I have in the request.
  • Once the option is selected, it should go to the "answer" screen and either show an incorrect or correct response using Conditional Visibility. Haven't gotten this to work yet as I'm at a dead end of how to structure the API's and Bravo's bindings.

  1. randomizing the set of questions, which maybe can be done with Airtable, but first at least trying for (1) in which I can successfully ask a question and get an answer...

I would strongly advise you to use a real backend tool instead of running Integromat for every single request. It will also make the whole thing easier for you and your concept phase. Check out my Halloween app video for an example

Would you recommend Backendless as a preferred alternative to Airtable or are there others better suited for this kind of solution in terms of budget, ease of use, etc?

That is not an easy question to answer without discussing it with you further. I personally really like it and it's one of the budget options but not beginner friendly
