Backend with Firebase

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hy everyone,
I am currently working on a mobile application I use Firebase as a backend to store user data. When users fill in their email and password on my app with Firebase integration on Bravo Studio, Firebase properly receives their information and users can properly register or login to my app. So the authentication part works fine. Now I would like users to be able to fill in their name and every time they log in, their name appears. I had the idea to create a Firestore collection where each user has his own document with his UID as document name. Thanks to an API, I managed to allow the creation of a document when a user registers but the document has no direct link with the user and I can't manage to give the UID of the user who logs in as the document name. It's quite long as an explanation so thank you to those who will take the time to read and perhaps answer my problem. THANKS😵

I'm having a little trouble understanding the documentation 😅. Ok the API returns me the UID and a token of the user but how to extract and use them? This may be a silly question but does anyone have the steps on how to do it?

Use the call to change data. Then to return the name on every page iits more complicated. With aurtable would be much more easier!
