Can't bind Firebase with Airtable

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hello everyone,

Since couple of days, I tried to bind Firebase (sign up & login) with Airtable to let my users seing only the data related to their profile but failed miserably.

I follow a tutorial I saw multiple time on threats (like this one:https://docs.bravostudio.app/resources/app-cases/build-a-notes-app-with-user-id-and-email-from-firebase) and nothing works.

Can someone show us the way because they are a lot of people who are struggling binding those two apps within Bravo.

Many thanks to all of you for your contribution.

Best regards,

M.

, ok ok ... I forgot one step!

3. Finally, in the Received Data tab, select the .data.args.name **parameter. You'll see here the value you set as a parameter before sending the request. This will be the parameter that we'll bind to the home screen later, to display the welcome message with the user email.

😁

It's hard to get the info from the other GET requests and linked to the GET user request;

Something is missing, I can see the data receive from Firebase, but I can't see the content link to this user.mail variable. (within Bravo Vision). Do you have an idea where it's blocking ?

Really hard to debug this way. Always make sure that the request is working with a sample email before implementing the variable. That way you can check if the request or the variable is the problem

, the request is working... but the infos arent's showing inside Vision. 😕

Then it's a binding issue. Just check that you linked everything correctly

I don't think so.

My issue is really in the fact that user.email from Firebase isn't connected to user.email in Airtable. I don't see how to tell Bravo to look for the information related to user.email (in Airtable).

I tried everything, and nothing happened.

I watch and re-watch tutorials, and nothing is helping me.

I'm really trying to help you but you need to start sharing what you are actually doing. Please share a screenshot of your request in the data library (with "received data"), a screenshot of your "selected data" and of the binding of the screen in Bravo. (Basically the same screenshots that are in the guide too)
