Conditional Action on item list

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hi I have a very basic GET list of Bookings:  GET(Bookings)

If the user selects a certain booking of the list a conditional action GET(booking detail) is triggered leading to different screens depending on the value of the "status" variable from selected data.

Therefore I'm triggering a detail request that  is on the same screen of the list request, is that something allowed?
If is not allowed, I don't see a way of triggering a conditional action on the response of a selected item of a GET list

Hi ,
Use state pages if you have APIs that return different state codes, or if you're not struggling with the no. of app screens. They're easier to deal with.

Otherwise, If I remember well you're using Xano. If so:

  1.  In Figma, you will need a separate detail page (this cannot be part of the list page with your setup as described, since a user has to trigger a follow up action)
  2. Create containers for each condition. In your case make each layer a full screen. This will probably increase your screen loading time.
  3. You need to create Boolean variables in the backend for each of the conditions you have for the detail page, where when one is true, all other conditions are false. Xano is very good with this but Airtable can do it, havent tried it though.
  4. Bind the each layer with the corresponding Boolean, where the true Boolean will display desired screen layer.
