Data collection

Any way to collect user data? how much time they took in a certain page, what item did they click, their route, IDs, etc.?

Hi Ramón,
it is possible to collect these kinds of information but you'll have to build a solution yourself (using API requests). You could basically set up an Integromat flow for example that posts user data to a separate database.
I am currently working on something that will make this way easier. Let me know if you would like to try it out as soon as a prototype is ready :)

Ramón April 8, 2022

ahhh, I see, so no webhooks right? I'm interested to try out the prototype. let me know. I will send you my email in a dm.

Thanks

app.monster April 8, 2022

No, you are right with the webhooks. Triggering the webhook would then result in the automation adding a new record in your database. Basically passing the info from the webhook to your stats db.
Thank you for your interest, I will let you know more details via DM :)

I'd love to try it out too, if that's alright. Something that's big on my mind and looking into implementing!

Jaron April 8, 2022

I'd love it if this was embedded into Bravo itself. Happy to pay a higher-tier too for analytic features, dashboards etc.

Ramón April 8, 2022

+1, nocode is somewhat simple to implement all of these functions and having it baked into is prefferable to have a hacky solution

Calda April 9, 2022

we are also already building a dashboard for our B2B clients with some simple analytics about their B2B users. We would love to hear more about your project and how are you implementing it. What exactly do you track?

app.monster April 9, 2022

That's really interesting, thanks for sharing. For V1 I'm basing everything around page hits and all the tracking possibilities that provides but also user behaviour like platform, location etc

Calda April 9, 2022

did you find a workaround so that it doesn't take as many API requests for your backend tool? Because if you measure page visits then you would trigger the webhook every time someone opens a page in your app...

app.monster April 9, 2022

Bravo is very inflexible in that way. It is the only way I could think of. I did some performance tests and it increases the loading time of a page by around 200 to 300ms with Bravo. Maybe you can beat that?

Calda April 11, 2022

yeah acutally I couldn't think of a better solution either, that's why I asked you 😅. We are developing an app for our B2B client who expects to onboard around 3-5k users, and if we trigger our n8n scenario for each page visit it might get ugly cost wise...

Ramón April 11, 2022

is bravo studio compatible with graphql? or better yet apollo federation? Haven't tried yet.

app.monster April 11, 2022

I have never tried it. It's probably best to start a new thread for a new question. It will get lost here :)

app.monster April 11, 2022

Yes, I agree, it's going to be pretty costly to do this with nocode
