[NOT POSSIBLE ATM] Filter markers based on user profile info

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hi 👋,

I'd like to filter the markers showed on screen based on the city provided by the user in his profile info during registration.

I can't figure out the formula..

can you be more explicit ? I don’t see how it can refer to the user.id that way

So if you have a couple groups of cities, lets say 3 (3 markers), you have to create 3 columns on the users progile tab with an IF statement giving fals on 2 collums and thrue on one depending the city group the user is. You have also to have one 4th column for a user that inserts a city that doenst corresponde to none of the listen. Then on the app (figma) create 4 markers on top of each other and on bravo make a conditional visibility on each marker using the 4 columns values (one column os each market). The logic is, if user belong to that group of cities will show the marker binded with the thrue value and hide all the others. Hope vould make it understandable.

I get what you are saying but the problem is I'll potentially have tens, hundreds of cities..

So filtering on the userid's city sounded more efficient in my head..

Reading it again I don't think you get what I'm trying to do. I have a map and list with places linked to a city.

  • City A
  • City B
  • City C
  • ...

I want the user to see only the records/markers according to the city he chose during registration.

Ok got it now! Having no experiene with maps on bravo, can not say much about it : /
