Form to trigger API

I have a text input form field that i use to enter a barcode manually, and i have a page that display the detials of that barcode through an API.
am unable to make the connection between the form field and the api call. any help is much appriciated

Hi ,

Can you tell us which database are you using? Here's a tutorial on how to bind form input fields to your database.

I also recommend you this guide to check your post request.

Thank you for the help , my requirement is a bit different, am using the Form to send a get request to the API . the result of the get request will be displayed in the detail page. am using FASTAPI to connect to sql server database
