Help - Analytics work arounds?

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021โ€“2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hi All -

Until analytics comes to Bravo (๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž) I'm doing some analytics hacks to gauge user behavior.

Goal: I want to see how many users "open a details page" vs. how many users finish reading the details page to hit "done". (*worth noting I don't currently have users logging in to use the app)

What's working: I currently am able to POST to Airtable when a user clicks "done" at the bottom of our page. And get a timestamp.

Issue: I only know when users finish and click done. I can't currently post to the database at the start when they've first opened a page. My issue is that to POST to airtable it needs to be a button they click. As opposed to just "viewing a page".

Thanks!

[FYI - Response from Bravo Support]
"At the moment, it's not possible to trigger an API request when a user opens a page, but we'll take note of this for future releases. We also have some analytics features in mind for the future."

Alex - I have a similar requirement and we just started our MVP build on bravo ...so good to know this feedback from Bravo. Who did you connect with at Support? I want to share some key metrics that are common across many apps at this stage of build
