I really need help

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

So I followed this tutorial: https://docs.bravostudio.app/connnec-api/browse-by-backend/firebase/getting-data-from-firestore#create-a-get-request-to-read-data-from-our-collection

It shows how to get authentication tokens from users which makes the Firestore collections accessible. But what if you just wanted to pull data from Firestore without it having to do anything with the user. Is it by creating a service account and then getting a OAuth 2.0 token or can you do it in a easier way?

Please help, I really want to publish my app soon!

I also don't really get how to use the authentication token I get from my test user to access my Firestore collections.

Hi !

In order to use Firestore as your app backend, you'll need to use our existing Firebase auth integration and implement a login method. That's how Bravo will get a fresh token to interact with the Firebase API every time you use the app. Then, depending on the operations you want to perform with the data, you'll need to use the corresponding API endpoint.

In the header, I input Bearer {the id token} that I get from my test user but I'm still not authorized. Am I doing it wrong? Please help!
