Input field and validation code

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

hello everyone, my food selling app is almost ready.  I want to make certain input fields mandatory.  In addition, create a code verification field that I will send by email to my customers, so if this code does not match the validation code it will not be accepted.

Input validation is not possible yet on Bravo's side. What back-end do you use? You could set-up your back-end to only accept valid data and then if users add anything invalid, the API request would fail. You cannot get per-field validation this way, but at least you could show that the input data was invalid for the entire form the users are trying to submit.

The code verification field should be quite straightforward. Your back-end would generate the code and send it to your customer via e-mail. Then you would have a verification screen in your app that would have a field to enter the code and it will only let the user through if the code matches the code your back-end has saved. The only problem is, that currently Bravo doesn't have deep linking enabled, so you cannot link from the e-mail directly to the code input screen. You would have to overcome this by design.

I am using airtable, After generating the validation code from the database, how do I make it match the input field?
