Loading state on remote actions

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hello,

I am using a dedicated frame to show when an api request is running but I noticed that this loading state is not triggered when using remote action. Is there a way to display the loading state when user click on an element that trigger a remote action (in my case, a post request to an api for advanced search).

Use a refresh tag on the page you have the info displaying.

thank you for your response but it's not working. Actually, when the postrequest is finished, the new page to display does a et request and that one display the loading page as supposed. It's really when we click on an input submit or a remote action that does an api request that nothing happens on screen until finished. Maybe it's more a bug than a lack of feature ?

I've reported this last week to the Bravo team and it indeed seems to be a bug.

Oh nice, hope that will be fix soon because not being able to give to the user the feedback that the app is processing a backend requets is really really painful on UX pov :x I am testing my prototype with users right now and they all tap by reflex when they see that nothing happen for 1 or 2 secs.

Absolutely agree, this was the same reason why I brought this up with the devs. :)
