Login screen briefly flashes between loading and Home screen after successful sign-in (Custom Backend auth, single-flow setup confirmed)

I'm seeing a visual glitch right after login that I can't resolve through configuration, and I've ruled out the usual causes — hoping someone from the team or community has run into this.

Setup:

  • Custom Backend authentication (AWS Lambda + Airtable), not Firebase

  • LoginPage tagged [page:login]

  • Home page (renamed from Dashboard) is the single Figma flow starting point ("Flow 1") — confirmed only one flow exists in the file, and LoginPage/Splash Screen carry no flow starting point, per the docs' single-flow requirement

  • Sign-in button's Form Response Action: On Success → Set Access Token (${accessToken}) only, nothing chained. On Error → Show alert.

  • Home page has no On Error action configured on its own data binding (nothing that could explicitly redirect back to LoginPage)

What I'm seeing (video attached):
Tap Sign In → loading skeleton appears → LoginPage briefly reappears with the email/password fields still filled in → then it finally transitions to Home. This happens identically in both Bravo Vision preview and a real exported/published build.

What I've already tried, no change:

  1. Moved the Figma flow starting point from LoginPage to Home (previously LoginPage was Home, which I suspected was causing a double-render — didn't fix it)

  2. Removed a [post-login:always] tag I had on Home, thinking it was adding an extra interstitial hop — didn't fix it

  3. Confirmed no On Error action anywhere points back to LoginPage

  4. Confirmed identical behavior in Vision and published build, so it's not a preview-only artifact

Question: Is this expected internal behavior during the login → Home transition (e.g., Bravo re-validating the session before committing to Home), or is there something in my setup still causing it? Video of the exact sequence attached.

@undefined undefined
Platform: Happens identically on Android and iOS — tested in Bravo Vision on both, and also confirmed on our published Android app live on the Play Store. Same flash in every case.

[action:login] tag: Yes, this has been on the sign-in button from the start — just double-checked the layers panel to confirm (signin_button [action:login]).

I've also gone through and ruled out a few other things since my original post:

  • Moved the Figma flow starting point from LoginPage to Home (previously LoginPage was set as Home) — no change

  • Removed a [post-login:always] tag I'd had on Home — no change

  • Confirmed there's no On Error action anywhere in the project that redirects back to LoginPage

  • Confirmed it happens the same in Bravo Vision and the real published build

I duplicated the official sample custom-auth file you linked (https://www.figma.com/community/file/1046060070731163579/bravo-sample-custom-authentication) and tested the exact same login flow on it, completely untouched from how it ships.

Same result. The login screen briefly flashes back in between the loading state and landing on the destination screen — identical pattern to what I'm seeing in my own app. Video attached.

Since this reproduces on Bravo's own unmodified reference template — not just my project — I think this rules out anything specific to my setup (tags, flow structure, action bindings, etc.). At this point it looks like inherent behavior in the login → Home transition itself, happening across:

  • My app (Android + iOS, Bravo Vision + published Play Store build)

  • The official sample file, untouched

Given that, could someone from the Bravo team confirm whether this flash is expected/known behavior in the current engine, or whether there's a fix in progress? Happy to share the project file or more recordings if it helps narrow it down further.
