Map with Markers-Refreshing endlessly at bottom of page and displaying incorrectly in Bravo Vision

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

I am working on an app and I have noticed that if I put custom map markers on a map, on Bravo vision it will just constantly refresh at the bottom of whatever page its located. I have confirmed all the connections are correct and tested in another file, it only occurs with custom markers. Its pretty unsettling and I don't know if its a Bravo Vision issue or if it will publish like this?

Custom map markers are vital for my app. Appreciate any insights.

Thanks,
Kai

Quick update on this, I just noticed that it occurs at the end of a page only and if pagination its refreshed/inserted at the set the page sizes.

Also, to clarify, there are no refresh page actions anywhere on this file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Best,
Kai

Hi can you all share the outcome of this issue resolution? We have a similar need and it would help us

Kai April 23, 2022

Hello Rajiv & Javier,

I have shared my Figma link with Bravo support today. I also finished my MVP so brought my app into the publication process to test it. At first, the issue seemed resolved when I viewed it in Testflight. However, after a little while the issue came back.

So the problem persists and is part of my bundle, not just a Bravo vision issue. So no resolution yet but hopefully this helps us on track to a solution.

Best and thanks Javier for the help,
Kai

Hey everyone,

Bravo helped me get to the bottom of this, here was their response.

"At the moment, in case you bind a request that contains pagination, it's meant to be the only container in the app page - in case you have several containers, they will get duplicated as well, even if they're bound to other API requests.  At the moment, there are two solutions you can implement:

  • Stop using pagination (might not be possible depending on your data amount)
  • Show only a subset of the list elements in the screen with the map slider, and create a link to another page where you only show the paginated list (without any other container element)."

Hope this helps anyone else who might encounter this issue.

Best,
Kai
