Multiple Categories w/ Multiple Cities

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hello, I'm looking for a bit of help. My app is host to 30 different activities(categories), all with dozens of businesses within each category that leads to a business profile page.

My goal is to have multiple cities as well. So, the user would choose their city, then the list of available businesses would populate based on their location, as well as within each of their respected categories.

At this time, I can't figure out a way to setup a tag for each business location and category so the API can automatically fetch the data from a single Airtable table.

Is this possible? Or will I need to create separate category pages in Figma and Airtable in order for it to pull the data, as well as it's own city table? This would be a headache and an overly complicated amount of work... lol.

Thanks!

do you have a diagram or flow of your app? Would help to be able to understand it. I have created Creative Weekly Links just with Airtable. I had there several Categories with many Links each inside each. Each Link also hold Tags which could also be used to re-filter the content if necessary via search. Also the links were showed by week, which in your case could be a specific neighborhood. But yes, the set up of it must be done with different pages on Figma at least if you want to use Airtable, and honestly, isn’t that complicated. Check the app: https://onelink.to/creativelinks Cheers, Karla

Here's a tutorial on how to set up List > List > Detail page with Airtable. It might work for your case!

Hi , I really appreciate the response. I have attached a user flow of the app for reference.

For your app, did you create individual pages in Figma for each category, then having individual tables in Airtable to feed the data to those categories?

As you can see with my app, having multiple cities, with multiple categories and lots of business profiles, I'll be over the Bravo page limit in no time.

Any further guidance would be much appreciated! 🙏🏼

Hey Ryan :) so, you just need one single page for each area. Will use the database on Airtable or another place to add your data, right? From what I see, these squares, are the pages you will need to create. So, 10 pages.

Hey , that's exactly how I currently have it setup. I think my lack of knowledge of Airtable is playing a part in me not figuring this out. I'll have to do more of a deep-dive into Airtables functionality to better understand how to set up my data. If you have any suggested resources, that would be super helpful! Thanks for your help :)

I can have a short call with you and share how I organized my data, if you need, but that is totally possible :)
