My POST API requests are not working - Airtable

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hi,

I want to create conditional actions for one of my apps with a new upcoming update with multiple new features. However, my POST request back to Airtable does not work.

  1. I’ve followed the exact checklist / tutorial on how to set up the data base through the Airtable Wizard and I don’t have any problems with any of my GET requests. I’ve duplicated a GET (list) database as the guide was telling me to do.

  2. I’ve added the following to the body (Json) and it is correct to.

{

"records": [{

"fields": {

"Code": ${code}

}

}]

}

  1. When testing the connection with the test values. But it gives me errors every single time. I’ve done the exact steps from the guide and changed the field to match the one in my database ‘Code’. When sending the data i get the following error in the debug section:

Status Code:403 - Forbidden

{

"error": {

"type": "INVALID_PERMISSIONS_OR_MODEL_NOT_FOUND",

"message": "Invalid permissions, or the requested model was not found. Check that both your user and your token have the required permissions, and that the model names and/or ids are correct."

}

}

I have the correct token and given the access for write and read. Duplicated a GET database and it still does not work. Any thoughts from someone more experienced than me?

Best regards,

K

I'm also experiencing issues with POST requests. Hopefully someone here can assist.

Hi Abu Bakarr, after some time I finally got in contact with the support.

Are you using Airtable too? In that case, make sure you’ve set the right access and premissions. I did that and it seamed that I could put in a “-signs on the JSON code and I was finally able to send data back to my Airtable.

So try this, I marked it in bold for you. Instead of how it said in the bravo guide, add the “ on the field you want to send to your database

{

"records": [

{

"fields": {

"Age": "${age}"

}

}
