nesting two airtable data bases

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hello ! I search a way to have information of two base differents for an application.

For the page at the left, it's the page where we can found the differents recipes of my app.

For the page at right, it's the detail of the recipe, but i have a different base for the ingredients.

I want the detail of recipe on the page Recipes and a list of ingredients in ingredients who have the tag of the recipes in them.

(when i click on "supreme burger" i want to see the detail of the supreme burger and all the ingredients who have "supreme burger" in them details.)

That's make two or three days i search how to do this, and this post is my last chance to found a solution '^'

Hi ,

The main issue here would be linking data from 2 API requests (Recipe detail request + ingredients list request) to the same screen. This is not possible at the moment, unless you return a list of ingredients as a field for a recipe detail request (in this case, you'd need a list field in your recipes table, which I believe it's currently not possible with Airtable).

However, you'll be able to bind data from multiple requests to a single screen very soon! Stay tuned for some news next week :)
