Normal Text with API Data

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to have normal text with API data inserted into it?

An example would be:

Today it is (Insert API data) degrees outside with a (Insert API data)% chance of rain.

Is this possible to do with Bravo studio?

Thanks!

That example is possible. But have to do everything in the back end

Yes, it's possible and quite easy as well. Works best if you split your text in five parts hugging the API data. If you use Airtable in my experience it works best to use normal text fields for both the degrees and the percentage because it has a better formatting in your app. Now "Today it is", "degrees outside with a" and "chance of rain" would be static texts. Leave a little space in between where you would put the text fields for the degrees and the percentage and set these up with a GET request in your database. Greetings!
