Open Amazon links in Amazon App (iOS)

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hi together,

I want to open amazon links in the amazon app (if app is installed on iOS).
I put a button with [action:openurl]. Via API the button get an URL.

The Problem

Behavior on iOS: Link opens in in-app browser although amazon App is installed :(

Behavior on Android: Link opens in amazon App :-)

Fix not working on iOS

I've tryed to scheme the link like:

com.amazon.mobile.shopping://www.amazon.com/....

This works on Android but NOT on iOS (Error message "This URL is not supportet").

Please help :)

Anybody got an idea how to fix this issue?

Thanks!

Hey ,
on iOS there's an internal list where are configured all the internal apps than can be opened, Apple doesn't allow to open any app, it needs to be listed in this list. And if the list is too long they won't like it. Will create an improvement to add the Amazon app in this list for the next app version.
