PLEASE HELPPPP!

support@bravostudio.app

I setup the same procedure on this tutorial on this document

Create and edit user profile (Firebase + Airtable) | Bravo Studio Help Center

but its not working. Whenever I send it through Bravo, it shows the “Input Variables and Test Values“, but whenever I tested through the real app its not reflecting on Airtable.

I use this on my Post (Registration)

{
  "records": [
    {
      "fields": {
        "Name": "${name}",
        "Email": "${email}",
        "deviceid": "${device.id}",
        "Contact": "${contact}",
        "Date of birth": "${dob}",
        "Picture": [
          {
            "url": "${picture}"
          }
        ]
      }
    }
  ]
}

But it only shows the test account

BUT in my firebase it is totally working well.

Hello,
Here are a few things to check and troubleshoot your implementation:

1. API Endpoint: Ensure that the endpoint you’re using is correct. In your case, the endpoint should be:

   https://api.airtable.com/v0/<BASE_ID>/<TABLE_NAME>

  Make sure to replace <BASE_ID> and <TABLE_NAME> with your actual base ID and table name in Airtable.

2. Request Body Structure: Your JSON structure looks good. However, ensure that the field names you’re using in the fields object match exactly what you have in your Airtable table. Any discrepancies in names (like capitalization or spacing) can lead to issues.

3. Airtable API Key: Double-check that you’re using the correct Airtable API key. This should be included in the request headers for authorization. The header should look like this:

   Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY

4. Testing with Input Variables: If you see "Input Variables and Test Values" showing up in Bravo, it indicates that Bravo is processing your input correctly. Make sure you've tested with the actual values that match your form inputs when running the app, not just the placeholder variables.

5. Data Binding: Ensure that the data binding is correctly set up in Bravo Studio. Check that the input fields on your user profile form are properly bound to the variables you want to post to Airtable.

6. Response Handling: After the POST request, check how you are handling the response from Airtable. If the operation is successful, ensure that the success logic is correctly redirects to the appropriate screen or provides user feedback.

7. Check Airtable Settings: Verify your Airtable settings. Ensure that the table allows you to write data (i.e., check permissions) and that there are no restrictions or data validation rules that might be preventing the input from being accepted.

8. Debug Info: Check the response from Airtable. If there’s an error being returned, it will provide useful information on what's wrong (e.g., missing fields, invalid format).In scenarios like these, closely following the correct API request structure and ensuring proper bindings in your app are crucial.

I hope these steps will help you to solve the problem :)
