Pre-populated share functionality

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

👋 friends!

Has anyone tried to pre-populate the sharing functionality?
Ideally, the user could share a specific item within the app, with a text that is relevant to the item being shared.

Thank you all!

That sounds interesting. Can you elaborate a bit more on what you want to accomplish?

Of course!

Currently with the tag [action:share:url] I believe we can share a deep link from the app – but as far as I understand, we don’t have a functionality to add text or image to the url – so the sharing message is a bit incomplete.

Let’s say that the user wants to share a pair of glasses; instead of sharing just the url, we could add something more personalized like “I think you’d love these [url]”.

(A good example of this is Wordle – the sharing functionality has pre-populated emojis custom for each game)

Hey Leonor, I've just done a quick test and indeed you can add text to a parameter bound to the [action:share] tag 🎉

The text must be included in the parameter from the database:

Then, when the user presses the element with the [action:share] tag, the share dialog pops up and there it goes:

Excellent, gracias Diego!!
I'll build this soon and come back if I have further questions 😊
