Social Media App

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hi,

I’m looking at making an app that has a social media feed (e.g. people can post photos/text, comment and like the posts), a page with a button that people can click daily which increases a visible counter (to track how often they’re going to the gym) - and this number becomes a badge that is visible when messaging and posting, a messages feed with a group chat and direct messages, and finally a product page where people can buy my products/subscriptions.

Is this possible here/if it is, what APIs would I need and how complicated would it be, as well as what plan would i need to get it on the app store looking great?

Thanks for your time!

built it using xano backend, in addition to few more integrations

Hi,
Yes it is possible and the best way to do it is to take foodgram as an example.
First: Look the figma file to understand how the design and tags are structured.
Second: Look in bravo studio how APIs are configured.
Third: Look in airtable all datas in different fields.

And, try to use Foodgram app by posting content and figure out how everything is working

@Nour Elhattab
I sign up to your mobile app and it looks great, I will be an early adopter without any doubt.
However, how did you get user’s information such as name + picture + comment.
Because I’m building a social media app (completly different from yours) but when a user post content I’m able to get only the name + comment but not the profile picture.

With, Airtable: I've datas such as name + post + picture + emails + user IDs retrieve from firebase.
Firebase: I have emails + user IDs only.

I will be glad if you can bring your light on that and it will help a lot of people.

@Soufiane Thanks! I am using xano for the backend but I guess it should be the property you link to if you are using Airtable. To display the picture, you should link to the url of the image stored in the database.
