Hello everyone,
Say I have a lot of users and a lot of photos, is airtable as a database good for social apps?
What databases and APIs do you recommend for this kind of job?

Definitely not Airtable if you’re anticipating a lot of concurrent users. Airtable has a hard limit at 5 API calls per second (regardless of pricing tier), which isn’t good for social apps.

Look at Xano, Firebase, or Supabase instead. Among those, I’d say Xano is the friendliest for a no-code developer, but Firebase is natively integrated with Bravo, so you might find it convenient enough.

Do you know where can I find more details for the firebase API connection? I found only explanations for the authentication step.
The rest should be similar to other APIs, so you can refer to Bravo’s documentation for setting up the API calls (https://docs.bravostudio.app/connnec-api/data-library-connecting-to-apis/set-up-api-requests), and Firebase’s documentation for how to use Firebase itself (https://firebase.google.com/docs).
