Spotify URL

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hello, do you have an idea on how to open Spotify's URL in Spotify native app, not on web?
I have tried to link with
spotify://album/5xQ2e4yjiEioD0HC9EF5p8
an URI
spotify:album:5xQ2e4yjiEioD0HC9EF5p8

I always have an error, "Sorry, the URL is not supported"

Any ideas?

Edit: If I'm correct; the error message comes from Bravo.

Why such URI schemes are not supported??

Are you on android or iOS? I’m working on a Spotify integrated app myself and haven’t had an issue just using the basic url.

Don’t think you need that second query. Just the album id should work.

Thank you for your answer !
I'm on iOS, does the "open.spotify.com" link, open the native app directly?

So any updates about this?
On iOS it just opens the browser which is not very user-friendly

Hey Alexandre B!

Today is fixing day: 👇👇

To open Spotify's URL in the native app, make sure you have the Spotify app installed. Try using 'spotify:album:5xQ2e4yjiEioD0HC9EF5p8' directly in the app's search bar. If issues persist, consider upgrading to Spotify Pro for a smoother experience.

Thanks!!
