web-view question

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hi Bravo community, I am using a web-view component in my app and testing it using Bravovision. However the web-view is caching a few scripts (the frame has React based javascript in it) and whatever I do, I am unable to get it to refetch the changes that I've done in my backend. Is there a way to clear the cache in the web-view viewer?

Also, how does the web-viewer work? Does it use the default browser in the phone to load the inner frame?

Thanks for your help and clarifications.

Hi Rex,

As I understand, this web-view component is binded to your backend, correct? Which one are you using? Does this issue happen when you're testing Bravovision by using Android, IOS or both?

Hi Marielle,

Thanks for your response. Yes, the web-view is bound to my backend. I use airtable to provide the final URL for the web-view component and then that URL points to my own backend which then serves a graph of a set of data.

I am using my own backend for the graph (npm based react server). The issue definitely happens in IOS, I haven't tested it in Android yet.

Thanks for the support!

Regards,
Rex
