App rejected - Data safety

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hi folks, quick question... I just had my app rejected on the play store... It seams i missed the section in the publication docs on "Data Safety" and didn't include "crash logs" and "device or other ids".... Ive now corrected this :)

Google plays rejection email also mentions their concern regarding:

  • SPLIT_BUNDLE 1: Policy Declaration - Data Safety Section: Location Data Type - Precise Location
  • SPLIT_BUNDLE 3: Policy Declaration - Data Safety Section: Location Data Type - Precise Location

i am not collecting any location data from users... i.e. nothing is being recorded in my Airtable... why would they have flagged this as a concern?... should i include Precise location in my declaration?... I'm really hoping not to get another rejection  😬 .

Appreciate any advice.. Thanks again Jono

Update - I got another google rejection after adding  "crash logs" and "device or other ids". The rejection cited:

  • SPLIT_BUNDLE 1: Policy Declaration - Data Safety Section: Location Data Type - Precise Location
  • SPLIT_BUNDLE 3: Policy Declaration - Data Safety Section: Location Data Type - Precise Location

Ive re submitted the declaration and added

The app collects the location. What you dont do is recod it. Just say "yes" to all.
