Deeplink only works if app is already running

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

[iOS] We have the following problem

(1) the Deeplink only opens the expected List View Page, IF the app is already running.

(2) If the app is NOT running, the deeplink opens the app , but only the 1st page after the splash screen. This is while using Testflight.

[Android]

(1) as above

(2) it looks like a kind of webview is opened, missing buttons and descriptions. No further action possible

@Armin Fendrich did you contact support to give us more info about the issue?

Armin April 1, 2024

after recreating the Firebase app and doing the whole configuration again, iOS (bravovision and testflight) now works, the issue remains only with Android (samsung s23 v14). I will contact support also

what does it mean that

In case you want to configure both Bravo Vision and live app for iOS and Android, you will need 4 files in total:

  1. GoogleService-Info.plist for iOS Bravo Vision

  2. google-services.json for Android Bravo Vision

  3. GoogleService-Info.plist for iOS published app

  4. google-services.json for Android published app

    https://docs.bravostudio.app/integrations/app-login-firebase

Does it mean you have to setup two projects in Firebase, one for the published app and another one for BravoVision?

Armin April 3, 2024

if I use the same .plist and .json file an upload on BravoStudio/Integration/Firebase config

I get an error message

fyi … Bravo spotted the issue and fixed it. Deeplink on Android is now working (had to create a new build). There is one remaining issue Bravo is working on. when the app page is opened via the deeplink, the menu:tab doesn’t show.

Bravo fixed the issue related to menu:tab on both iOS and Android. Deeplinks are now working on our app for both OS!!
