Flickering on Android using [refresh:interval:1]

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

I am using the tag [refresh:interval:1] to display changes in the app whenever there is a new value available through our API.

This works flawlessly on iOS (happens in the background unnoticed), but on Android you can see a flickering every time the refresh interval is triggered (see recording below). Ideally Android would behave the same as on iOS and update the API in the background without causing a flickering.

Is this a known issue?

@Laura Meng I realized it's only in Bravo Vision, in my published app this doesn't happen so go away.

After we updated to the latest Bravo Vision the issue went away. Did it come back?

Jaime May 3, 2024

P.S.: I can confirm, that with the latest update the issue is showing up again on our Android apps. As Paulo mentioned this only happens in apps starting from Bravo Vision. This looks like a refactoring issue.

I still have the same problem. In my case, it is a payment calculation automation, and the shopping cart values need to be updated every second, otherwise, I may have issues!

@Jaime Alcantara I’ve also noticed that, with many other issues as well, they come back after a new update, and we have to spend time to resurface the issue to the team again. It’s a waste of time.

@Laura Meng I have changed my direction cause of it.
