๐ Hey Bravo Community!
Guess what? It's that time of the week again โ time for some fresh tips & tricks! ๐ Today, we're thrilled to unveil one of the great features in Bravo Studio: multilingual support! ๐
Did you know that with Bravo Studio, you can translate your app's content to match the language settings of your users' devices? Imagine the possibilities! ๐
With multilingual support, not only can you ensure an exceptional user experience for people all over the world, but you can also open doors to diverse markets, expanding the reach and success of your app. ๐ผ
Now, let's dive into a simple 3-step guide to set up multilingual support for dynamic text using API data:
1. Prepare Your Backend:
Make sure your backend database is ready to store texts in different languages.
Create separate tables for each language, using language codes like "EN" for English and "SP" for Spanish.
2. Create API Requests Using the Built-in variable ${device.lang}:
Craft a single API request for each table type (e.g., Places, Journal).
Incorporate the built-in variable ${device.lang} into the request URL to target language-specific tables.
Example API requests:
3. Testing and Data Binding:
Test your API requests by specifying a test value for the ${device.lang}.
Once your requests are working smoothly, bind data items to app UI elements as usual.
Remember: the same data item will display different values in the app based on the device language. Exciting, right? ๐จ
And here's a bonus tip for you: consider exploring the multilingual feature for static text by integrating Google Cloud Translation which is super easy to set up!
Curious to try it out yourself? Head over to the complete documentation here and unlock the full potential of multilingual support for both static and dynamic text content in your apps. ๐
Got questions? Don't hesitate to reach out! We're here to help you every step of the way. ๐
Best regards,
Bravo Studio Team
