Bind Image Not Displayed on iOS

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hello,

I have a simple app that displays a graph.

The chart’s URL is generated on the Xano backend. The chart generation is at `quickchart.io`.

Generated URL example (you can try it on your browser):

https://quickchart.io/chart?c={type:'line',data:{labels:['19 Apr 2024','Tue, 19 May 2024'],datasets:[{data:[1,3],fill:false,borderColor:'pink'}]},options:{legend:{display: false}}}

Then, in Bravo Studio, I bind the image to the URL that comes from the backend. It is as simple as it appears in the tutorial here: Bind data to design for a detail page

In the iOS version of the app, the chart is not shown. It is just a blank space.

Android has been working without any problem.

I tried different chart formats using the API parameter like `f=png`, `f=jpg`, `f=svg` (together with `[component:svg]`), etc. But nothing is working.

Am I missing something?

Can somebody help, please? 🙏

Thanks in advance

I found the issue.

I applied a URL encode operation to the URL content after `c=`. Probably there was some character that was causing the issue in iOS.

I followed the recommendation here from quickcharts docs.

Now the charts are rendered without problems on iOS.
