Is there a way to conditionally format objects?

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

I'm making a chat application and want to be able to format the speech bubbles based on who sent the message. Facebook messenger chat example below (note how inbound and outbound messages have different colors and horizontal alignment)

I've got a backend with a field that marks messages as inbound or outbound and want to format the speech bubble based on that field.

Is that possible with Bravo?

thanks! In that thread you linked, someone had the idea of passing a jpeg as the background image, which is pretty clever. I wonder if there's a hacky way to also do horizontal alignments? In any case, will submit this as a feature request

I'm not sure about a way to hack the alignments but this feature has already been requested :)
