[Needs improvements] Loading full records list and search component

Archived from the Bravo community forum (2021–2026). Some answers may refer to older versions of Bravo.

Hi !

I have an issue on one of my pages.
I have a page with something like 80 records that have to show and I set up a search field so it's easier to find the information.

Problem is that if I don't scroll down the whole list first, admit I'm searching for a record that is on the bottom of the list, it doesn't appear in my search results.

Do you guys think of a solution here ?

I know how to set it up, I think you didn't understand the problem.

When I open the page where the list is, only half of the list loads. I have to scroll in order to load the rest of the list. Problem is that if don't load manually, the research component doesn't return the unloaded records.

Ok, then what you need is to search in a list using pagination?

Did you try to check this Advanced search tutorial from Jonas?

Bastos December 25, 2021

I checked the video but it doesn't solve the problem.

Pagination looks like something that could solve the problem but I'm not sure how it works.
Since the API limit is 100 and I can't go further than that (I need 180), I don't understand how to boost it to 180.
Do you think you can help me on that ?

Hi ! At the moment, this type of search would need to be performed with a backend search like Jonas' tutorial shows, using a form input. The search and filter action can only search on the items that have already been loaded.

Thanks for describing your use case, we'll see if we can implement a more smooth search for this type of lists in the future.

I know you have to set a loading records limit to the API so it doesn’t slow the app.

Thank you for considering this problem anyway, much appreciated 😁
